About Us

Buzz Charters LLC is a family friendly fishing charter based out of Kewaunee, WI.  We are slipped on dock C in the Yacht Works Marina.  Captain Joe will provide you with an experience you won't forget.  He strives on putting you on the fish and treating you with respect.  Whether you are a novice or experienced fisherman, we work hard to make sure your fishing experience is as best as possible.  

Our boat, Medusa, is a safe and well maintained Tiara 3600 Open.  It is fully rigged to help you catch the sought after Chinook Salmon or the acrobatic Steelhead Trout.  Other fish you may catch on your trip are the Coho Salmon, Brown Trout and Lake Trout.

What to Expect

Time of departure from the dock will depend on the time of sunrise and sunset.  The captain will be in contact with you to let you know when to be at the boat.  If the hours don't work for you, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate different fishing times. 

Onboard will be a cooler with ice to hold your catch while fishing.  When arriving back at the dock the captain will bring the fish up to the cleaning station.  There you can hang your fish for photos if you would like.  After that our crew will clean and bag your catch.  Ice will be available for your trip home at the Yacht Works Marina or the local gas stations.

No need to bring any fishing tackle or poles.  All necessary fishing equipment and safety gear will be provided.

What to Bring

Your fishing license.  You can pick up a fishing license and a Lake Michigan trout stamp at Center Court in Kewaunee.  A paper copy is required on Lake Michigan.  More Wisconsin fishing license information can be found here.

Sunglasses, proper footwear, warm clothes and sunscreen are recommended.  Temperatures on Lake Michigan can be cold or warm depending on weather conditions.  

Bring a personal cooler with drinks, snacks and food as they are not provided on the boat.  Also, a cooler to keep your catch cold for your trip home.
